Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear… oh beans!
I can’t quite believe that this month I’ll be celebrating my first year of having a blog! And so, to kick the festivities off, here is a little collection of some things I’ve been loving over the past year and which make up this birthday giveaway worth over £20.
Here’s what you’ll win and why I love the bits!
The Opposite of Loneliness
In the interests of sustainability, I’m giving away my read copy… so firstly, apologies for the slightly dog-eared dust jacket! But, I didn’t want to leave this on my shelve without giving it another home to go to and so I’ve decided to give it away to the lucky winner. This book truly is an eye opener to how short life can really be, and I hope that perhaps it can help to give you the drive to ditch the boring bits of life and to grab the bits you want. Read my review here.
Ombar – Blueberry and Acai Raw Chocolate 35g
Where have these beautiful bars been hiding?! I’m a chocolate fiend and so I find it particularly hard not to resist one if it’s sat in front of me. I’m so glad I’ve discovered these bars as they are completely natural and use unrefined raw cacao, cacao butter and coconut sugar instead of the processed ingredients that go into bogstandard bars. They’re also 100% organic! The blueberry and acai in this little bar mix well with the cacao to give a berry kick.
Pukka Supreme Matcha Green Tea
Since the start of the year, I’ve been trying to drink more of the super green, Matcha. I’ve not really got into the green latte world just yet as I find it easier to drink as a tea… and what’s easier than dunking a teabag?! This Pukka tea is a mix of three green leaves with a little bit of matcha for the extra goodness.
Faith in Nature – Orange Hand Made Soap & Intensive Moisturiser
One of my favourite finds over the last year has been Faith in Nature. Peter and I have now switched completely to their shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soaps, and wouldn’t look back! Why did we swap? Well, I started to read that hair products and body washes regularly contain a number of irritants in them, such as sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and parabens, which aren’t that great for your hair, let alone skin. We particularly love their natural hand made soaps, which smell amazing and of course, slip out your hand like a wet fish! The moisturiser leaves your skin smelling fresh and feeling so hydrated and soft.
Deliciously Ella ‘Peace, Love & Yoga’ Tote
This giveaway couldn’t be without a little homage to the first foodie blogger I started to truly follower. Before I stumbled across Ella a year or so ago, I’d never religiously checked back at someones blog… I didn’t even really know what a blog was. But then she replied to one of my twitter comments and the rest was history! I’m in complete adoration for what Ella has done for really helping to thrust the concept of healthy and natural living into the forefront of everyone’s minds. She’s slowly helping to change people’s attitudes and perceptions towards healthy food, and it truly is an exciting time for cooking as a whole. I love my Peace Love & Coconuts tote… I hope you enjoy this Yoga one to carry your goodies in!
