Herbie the Balcony

So, our little balcony is rather small, but it’s perfect for growing herbs as it gets plenty of sun and dappled shade. Last year, Peter fixed some old cans to some trellis and then bolted it to the balcony, the herbs grew really well in the cans but were a bit tricky to try to replant. So we went a bit posher this year and bought some containers which have been fixed to the balcony. I opted for: rosemary, two types of basil, coriander, parsley and oregano. I’ve also potted some mint separately and recovered some thyme from last year (fingers crossed it’ll do ok). I decided to take a few cuttings of basil, parsley and mint and have popped these in small pots to grow inside as these are the herbs we consume the most. I’m running out of window space!

If you have an abundance of herbs, this link might be worth a peek to help you make a herb rub! Also, if you’re feeling creative, these DIY herb pots look awesome!
